Escaping Infinity by Richard Paolinelli Mr. Paolinelli is now on my author boycott list because he has made sexist remarks on social media and has supported others who have made remarks that are sexist, racist, transphobic, and ableist. He justifies this by saying that liberals are the real intolerant ones, but he told me “hush, dear, men are talking” when I pointed out that he was defending a bigot. He doesn’t want anyone who opposes these forms of bigotry to buy his books. If you oppose bigotry against marginalized groups, you might want to avoid the books; especially since Richard doesn’t want you to read them. Does he honestly think women don’t read sci-fi/fantasy novels? Or that they don’t have friends who also read them? And I’m fairly certain you wouldn’t be reading anything I write anyway, so I’m not really that worried about losing the zero amount of dollars you were ever going to spend on my books. So, to sum up, sod off and take your silly friends with you. β€” An Eclectic Scribe: Richard Paolinelli (@ScribesShade) December 26, 2017 Go read my profile again. Then slide over to the about me page on my website. I’ve already had my career, dear, I don’t need a penny of you or your friends’ money. Enjoy that hate-filled thing you call a life and quit wasting my time, child. @CaptainSmirk2 β€” An Eclectic Scribe: Richard Paolinelli (@ScribesShade) December 26, 2017 Sure, sure. No sexism here. pic.twitter.com/L0xWW7HJLc β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) December 26, 2017 View all my reviews TBH, I was just waiting for her to finally respond to me so I could drop the “hush dear” line on her. It’s a little experiment I’m running, gauging the different reactions I get when I use it. β€” An Eclectic Scribe: Richard Paolinelli (@ScribesShade) December 26, 2017   He also made these lovely remarks: She seems like the kind of girl you’d take home to mama… only so mama will get off your back about your real girlfriend. 🧐 β€” An Eclectic Scribe: Richard Paolinelli (@ScribesShade) December 26, 2017 Marked as will-not-read: Escaping Infinity by Richard Paolinelli https://t.co/yv6RUXCAtF β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) December 26, 2017

I’m not sure how many posts this will take, but I thought it was worth documenting. @brettwestny @DonnaVishio “Uneducated dicks with guns” is practically the slogan of the state of Mississippi. Perhaps we should disarm MS. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) February 23, 2017 @brettwestny @DonnaVishio I’m not. Have you ever looked at how Mississippi ranks in education? Plenty of people in “the hood” are educated. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) February 24, 2017 @brettwestny @DonnaVishio Being impoverished doesn’t mean you are less intelligent. It just means you’re poor. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) February 24, 2017 @brettwestny @Olivianuzzi I’m disabled, bro. If Trump wants to improve my circumstances he could give SSI recipients more than $750/month. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) February 24, 2017 @brettwestny @Olivianuzzi There isn’t a damn thing wrong with my attitude. Yours needs work. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) February 24, 2017 @brettwestny @DonnaVishio Right. Anything that can disprove your claim that people “in the hood” are uneducated isn’t worth sharing. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) February 24, 2017 @brettwestny @DonnaVishio It’s not unfair to expect all children receive the same quality education. In fact, that’s the opposite of unfair. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) February 24, 2017

Anti-Defamation League: Trump Ad Invokes Anti-Semitic Tropes After everything, I don’t think it’s right to even suggest that his use of these tropes could be unintentional. When you’ve built your candidacy on racism and have promoted the words & ideas of individuals who are neo-Nazis, Klan members, and involved in other white supremacist movements, dog-whistling those people one last time just can’t be treated as an unintended thing. And when you compare it to his 3-4 decades of using these tropes to define Jewish people, it becomes more clear that this is who he is. And I don’t want someone who clings to that ideology or tries to make it acceptable to be the President of the United States. from Facebook

Are you fucking kidding me? The post-Olympics local news is talking about Jeffrey Franklin. Fuck off, Broussard. β€” Janet Morris (@janersm) August 6, 2016 from Twitter – August 05, 2016 at 11:32PM via IFTTT I have heard way too much about Jeffrey Franklin this summer. My mental health is being taxed each time it comes up. Why do they always have to talk to the District Attorney Rob Broussard & get his input on the mental state of Jeffrey? He always says the same thing: he thinks Jeffrey isn’t mentally ill, he thinks he’s evil, and he thinks that the fact that Jeffrey wrote extensively about harming his family before he did it proves this. No one mentions that Jeffrey’s own parents acknowledged that he had a mental illness before he killed them, that his friends do as well. He doesn’t mention Jeffrey’s tox levels. Instead, he sticks to this sensationalized narrative that’s out there; one he probably promoted when he first tried the case. And it just makes me remember everything thatΒ did happen and I’m agitated and have a sort of “mental itch” for days afterwards. I know that I can’t move on completely from that night, but it would be easier if they wouldn’t hype it up so much.
