October is often associated with breast cancer, the color pink, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation. How do you feel about companies that promote the cause, but produce, manufacture, or sell products that may cause cancer? Is it valid to call that behavior “pinkwashing”? Is it okay for the charity to have exclusivity contracts with companies (i.e. singling out Yoplait to be the official product of the cause) to raise money? Or is that a bad thing?
