Liberal Media Bias
According to conservatives, there is a liberal media bias in America. Some even see Fox News as too liberal. I don’t know how that can be possible when it seems that all of the media (especially Fox News) seems to support conservative topics instead of “promoting” liberal ideas.
When the Terri Schiavo case was the “popular” thing to report on, MSNBC, a so-called “liberal” station, reported things from the parents, while ignoring anything the husband or anything that supported her husband’s beliefs. It wasn’t until polls started coming back saying that the majority of viewers supported the husband that the station started showing both sides of the story. They only changed when they realized that their audience was more liberal than they were.
When there are reports on Israelis and Palestinians, the news media is more likely to support the Israelis than they are the Palestinians. Admittedly, it is hard to defend suicide bombers, but even when they’re talking about the peaceful Palestinians, they seem to disregard their importance. At the same time, they will willingly listen to the Israelis go on and on about how the Palestinians don’t deserve their homeland. The worst network to watch in regards to Israelis vs. Palestinians is Fox News. They don’t even report anything good about Palestinians. They simply show them as “savages”.
When there were reports about partial-birth abortions, no news seemed referred to them by their medical name, and there weren’t reports of the good things about partial-birth abortions. No one seemed to report that these procedures save lives. All you heard was how the abortions took place and how horrible it was. There weren’t reports about the lives that were saved by having these procedures done.
Where is the liberal bias? Why does it seem that there is more of a conservative bias? Why does it seem that when you read news from other countries that you get a whole different story? Shouldn’t news be news no matter where it comes from? Shouldn’t the story be the same if you’re reporting the truth?
