Spitting Pain

I’m gonna whine for a minute, so I will apologize ahead of time.

My tongue hurts. It has been hurting pretty constantly for a few weeks now. I complained about it on Twitter back in July, which was around the time that I had about 5-6 lie bumps about a cm apart along the “edge” of my tongue. After that point, I had about 3 for a while. Then they’d go away for a day or so, and I would have one or two pop back up.

Now, I have a big sore on my tongue where I had several of the bumps come up. It’s not the same kind of pain as a typical lie bump. Instead of being a sharp pain, it burns like crazy and my tongue is aching really bad. I have no idea what’s going on and I’m tempted to get it checked out because it’s annoying, painful, and just weirds me out. But I’m also afraid to make the appointment because I know that if I do, there’s a good chance that it will go away on its own and then I’ll have to explain what this issue is without proof that there’s an actual issue…and I already feel like doctors don’t really take me seriously when it comes to explaining what’s going on. So I don’t want them to be like, “See, I knew that girl is a hypochondriac.”

The tweet I made on the 22nd of July:
