Empowered in their vengeance?

What does Last House on the Left and I Spit have in common? They both claim to be pushing a female empowerment agenda. Yes, somehow the creators behind those movies think it is somehow empowering to show women be rapes and brutalized on the big screen. These rape scenes are sexualized spectacles that in fact last longer than the scenes in which the rapist sees his victim take revenge. Is it just me or does that sheer fact suggest otherwise?

REALLY.
Defenders of these types of films say that they are pro-woman because the woman wins in the end. That is like saying a cockfight is pro-rooster because one is always left standing.

That is like saying a cockfight is pro-rooster because one is always left standing.

”That is like saying a cockfight is pro-rooster because one is always left standing.”
