United States at night

Why are the states in the middle so dark??? Do they not have electricity or do they go to bed early or something?

Apparently, the electrical grid for those states is provided by hamsters on their wheels.  Normally, they would be running all night, but they’ve gone on strike.  The people in those areas don’t get electricity until they give into the demands of the hamsters.

(It’s probably darker in those areas because those are parts of the country that have a lot of folks who live in rural settings.)
