Joseph Vinson was arrested Tuesday after admitting to the attack against Stevie “Peanut” Michael. Vinson was booked into the Colbert County Jail on second-degree assault charges. But his time at the Colbert County jail was short-lived. Sheriff Ronnie May says as Vinson was being escorted into a jail cell, another inmate jumped him and beat him up. Officials were able to break up the fight.

Joseph Vinson had attacked a mentally challenged man earlier in the week. (He pistol-whipped him and a dumped him in a ditch, after he offered to take Peanut home.)
