Ugh, why?

We’re in a recession. People would rather be conservative with their money. I mean.. it makes sense. It’ll even out eventually.

it does make sense, but it is irritating to some.

I don’t really know if a logical response to the recession in terms of our political history is an overwhelming spread of favoring Republican candidates… They don’t necessarily have a history of mending recessions. The last financial crisis we experienced, we turned to a Democratic leader for help. Besides, conservatism doesn’t directly translate to being financially stingy. Even if it did, trying to not spend money doesn’t fix a broken economy. 

And the recession started while the conservatives were in charge.  Billions on wars while rebating/cutting taxes should’ve been a big clue to anyone who’d taken an econ class or had a checking account.  If you’re spending more than you’re taking in, then you’re losing money.
