On Friday and Saturday, I was apparently noticeably absent (since Haley and Kara left messages) from the internet. It wasn’t because I’ve found some kind of miraculous happy life or anything. It pretty much had to do with my irregular/heavy periods. They’ve gotten heavier and I was planning on calling my doctor on Monday (the only day she’s in–she’s a resident, so her hours are sketchy), but I didn’t call. Why didn’t I call? I was asleep. That was pretty much true for the absence on the weekend, as well. I have been falling asleep for 12-15 hour periods of time, which I kind of feel has to do with the massive heavy period. (It’s somewhere over a month, and it has gotten heavier every day.) I dug out my old iron tablets that I used to take when this kind of thing happened on a more regular basis, when it was “regulated” by things like Seasonale, Ortho Tri-Cyclen, NuvaRing, off-brand mini pills, etc. for the many years that this stuff has happened and when that “regulated” period would be causing iron-deficiency anemia.
I tried to sleep in my room over the weekend, since it is almost cool enough for me to do that sort of thing. Unfortunately, within five minutes of laying my head down, I was overwhelmed by the sound of blood rushing to my head. (I had forgotten that bed + ongoing vertigo = badness.) So, I basically came back in the living room to “my chair” and tried to lax out. Unfortunately, I took my pink (Cabbage Patch) blanket to the back and didn’t have the energy to bring it back in here, so I only have one of my old bedsheets to cover up with. This has not helped my tendency towards feeling a bit cold that has been going on lately.
I got distracted by a Misha Collins album that Elenya posted on her facebook account and I totally forgot that I was blogging, so I think I have confirmed anyone’s suspicions about a lack of an attention span or an overwhelming tendency to dip into fangirl mode. Okay, so I have no idea what else to say. I miss the QC girls, US posters, twitter folks, LJ people, tumblr life-enhancers, other online friends, and basically anything internet-related. Oh, there’s a guest-blog post entry promoting Surviving Eden on blahblahbiddyblah.com and if that entry gets the most comments for any entry in the Goddess Fish Blog Tour promoting that book, there’s a possibility for someone to win some stuff that the author (Michelle Picard) is giving away.
