Where Do I Go From Here?

If you remember back in September of 2009, I said that my family doctor was treating me like I was malingering for complaining with certain issues. I started to go to a new doctor, and she started taking me seriously. In March, I started to go back to my neurologist, and he ordered the massive blood draw. The stuff he tested for was stuff that I had wanted my old family doctor to test for, but that he refused to check for.

I posted my blood work results a few days ago. The lab flagged some stuff for being low and high that I hadn’t known were flagged prior to telling everyone what was wrong. My CO2 level was low and my Red Blood Cell count was high. Most of my blood count info was on the high side (but not high for the lab), except the MCH and MCV.

I had thought that my kidneys had something wrong for a while, and according to the BUN/Creatinine, I may have acute renal failure, which is serious. The Carbon Dioxide level indicates that I may be in the beginning of metabolic acidosis, which is serious. Apparently, I’ve been sick for a while, but I couldn’t get the old doctor to believe that there was anything wrong. He just chalked it up to me wanting attention, which I didn’t want. I just wanted to be healthy. I wanted him to understand that there was something wrong.
