A Night Full of Awesome

Tonight was the Valentine’s Dance for YSA, and it was pretty awesome. I went with Jennifer, Anthony (the one who was at my first lesson to join the church [the fifth or sixth time I took them] and got married back in August), Kris, Aaron, and Craig. We debated going somewhere to eat on the way there, but as it was Valentine’s Day and EVERYONE and their mother (gross if you think about that connotation) goes to eat on Valentine’s. We got a little lost since Florence is a “foreign” town. We quickly got back on track and made it to the dance to grab some pizza. Then, the group mainly sat for a very long time while others danced. The music wasn’t all that great, and we weren’t really a dancing group, I guess. I got to dance twice, once with Craig and then at the end Anthony and I danced. It was pretty cool. It gave me a chance to get to know what was going on with them a little better.

I’m in the process of uploading the pictures from tonight to Flickr, where they will then be transported magically to Facebook. (Yay for apps.) If you’re not able to view them on Facebook, you can find them here. You can also view my birthday cake from last night (yes, it was a Care Bears cupcake cake) and various other stuff.

Oh, and in case you didn’t read my comment to Gill on my rant (Reasonability) that referred to crappy Conservatives, there are some awesome Conservatives in the world. She is one of them. She’s always listened to me (or read me) when I’ve done my Liberal rants, and she’s never been hateful about her views. She’s definitely an awesome Conservative.
