Places to Go

School started back on the 21st of August.  So far it’s been okay.  I don’t like being back.  I’d rather stay out, but I have to go.  I only have this semester and next semester to go, so it isn’t that much.  Of course, that’s not taking into account that I’ll be in grad school.  That’ll take longer.  Sometimes it seems like I’ll never get out of school.

On Friday, my Methods class had our class in the gym since we were going to have a presentation done by someone for the inauguration of A&M’s new President.  My teacher said she needed to talk to me this next week.  I got really worried.  Well, we wrapped up class pretty quickly and she and I actually got to talk.  She told me that I should go into policy writing because apparently I’m a good writer.  I still want to pursue mental health.  Actually, I want to pursue acting and singing, but the likelihood that that will happen is so very unlikely.

I know it isn’t all pretty and polished, but please go check out Celestial.  I keep meaning to add themes, but I keep getting sidetracked with schoolwork and other offline stuff.  Please go check it out and post.  I want it to be active.  I also need moderators.  If the old mods would send me a private message on there and let me know that you want your positions back, I’ll add you back.  If you’re new and want to be a mod, just let me know that, too.  I’ll just need to know which forums to place you as a mod for.

I got a comment about a comment I made on a book on Amazon.  I said that Muhammed didn’t advocate killing Jewish people.  Admittedly, there were holy wars back then over Islam, but he did say that Christians and Jews were to be respected.  I learned that in a history class.  Apparently, this person who called my comment “silly” thought he could educate me better than a Ph.D.  I just love when the uninformed try to make themselves out to be the only ones who know the truth.  They don’t always know everything.  Actually, its been my experience that a lot of people who have bad things to say about Islam know very little about it.  What they know, they’ve picked up from biased sources that only teach you to hate and be intolerant.  They don’t learn the good things.  They just learn what they need to learn in order to remain ignorant.

I saw “When a Stranger Calls” last night.  That movie wasn’t scary.  I guess if what was happening in the story had happened to me, it would’ve been scary.  They just didn’t make it look scary.  It was supposed to have scenes of intense terror, but I didn’t really see any.  I guess what’s intense terror to one person isn’t to another.

This week starts the 2006-2007 season of television shows.  Fox already started, so I’ve been watching House.  Now I have to record House so that I can watch it after I watch NCIS because the lovely people at Fox decided to move House to the 7:00 timeslot.  I hate it when two shows that I like are scheduled against one another.  Thursday nights are even worse because I want to watch Grey’s Anatomy, but it comes on at the same time as CSI: and Supernatural. I can’t record one because I’m recording ER and the recording times would overlap.  I don’t understand why Grey’s Anatomy couldn’t have stayed on Sunday nights.

Well, it’s time to go walk the puppies.  I better go.  TTYL!
