Stephanie on JRi brought up an interesting topic. Apparently, there were some kids (pre-teens) at a mall near her with Louis Vuitton purses. What kind of parent buys their kid a purse that costs around $400-$1,000? Honestly, isn’t that ridiculous, even for the rich? Someone said that buying a $1,000 purse for a rich kid is like buying a $50 purse for regular folks. Okay, to me, $50 for a purse is crazy for an adult, not to mention for a child. What ever happened to going to Wal-Mart for a purse? Maybe its just because my family hasn’t ever actually had money, but I find it extremely odd that more people don’t go to Wal-mart or Target for their purchasing needs. They have lots of stuff. They even have some nice stuff. And guess what? It’s probably made in some sweat shops that are just right around the corner from the sweat shops that produce name-brand clothing and accessories.
Thank you to everyone who commented about the skins being nice. That’s really sweet.
Oh, and a few things about Gastric Bypass Surgery. It’s not the same as “bypass surgery” which usually refers to a type of heart surgery. Another thing, it will not be reversed unless I have some complications where I have to have the rest of my stomach back. Reversing it would basically be pointless, otherwise, because I wouldn’t have a physical barrier to keep me from over-eating, so I would end up gaining back a lot of weight. Also, 100 pounds is a lot to lose in 6 months, but in the first two weeks of the surgery I lost over 20 pounds. 4 pounds a week isn’t as much as 10 pounds a week. So there isn’t really a need to worry about losing “that much”.
