6 Days A Week

Well, I went to registration today at A&M. It was exhausting. I had to walk around the campus, which is quite large. I have blisters on my feet and my hip hurts pretty bad. :(

Anyways…I got my schedule today. It is as follows:

Mondays & Wednesdays
Elementary Spanish II – 2:00 – 3:20 pm

Tuesdays & Thursdays
Fitness for Life – 9:30 – 10:20 am
World Literature I – 11:00 am – 12:20 pm

Fridays
Intro to Social Welfare – 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Saturdays
Physical Science I – 8:00 am – 11:00 am
Physical Science I Lab – 11:30 am – 2:30 pm

At the end of this semester, I will probably be exhausted. The most I’ve had to go to school (during college) before was like 3-4 days a week. So, 6 will definitely be a change.

Who needs to watch the Olympics?

Thanks to the lovely local news cast, I already know who won some of the Olympic medals. They didn’t even think to give a spoiler warning. They just showed the winners and talked about them. I don’t usually like surprises, but I was looking forward to watching the Olympics without any spoilers. Unfortunately, the local news didn’t allow for this. :( If the Olympics weren’t on the station, I could understand it. Since they are on this particular station, it just seems a little ridiculous for them to go and blurt out the results.

I upgraded WordPress today, after delaying for so long. So far, I haven’t run into any errors. I’ll probably have to readd all the extra smilies and stuff I had before.

I have to keep yelling at Molly to not get on the computer desk. I feel bad for yelling at her, but she keeps knocking things off in her attempt to get up on the computer desk. Right now, she’s on the couch looking all pitiful, which just makes me feel worse.

I’m going through hair withdrawals. I miss my long hair. I kept it up in a ponytail all the time, but I still miss it, especially when I brush my hair. This is one of the reasons that I hate having my hair cut. That, and I just hate change.

Every 2-3 Years

I got my hair cut today. It had been around 2 or 3 years since my last hair cut. My hair had gotten pretty long. (It was down past my boobs.) I wanted it to look like this. Instead, its not quite shoulder length with lots of layery-goodness. It looks pretty.

When I went in to get my hair cut, Rhonda (who I’ve known since I was little) looked like it was Christmas. She just looked so giddy. She kept saying how beautiful my hair is and how it had always been beautiful. She was excited to be cutting it, but a bit nervous because she thinks of me like I’m her own kid.

It was an okay experience…like I said, my hair looks pretty. The only thing I didn’t really like was when she used hair spray. I don’t like to use hair spray because sometimes it irritates my eczema. Oh well, I guess it’ll be okay, though.

I’m exhausted

Yesterday I decided that I would make a new layout for Taboo and prepare it for future skinning. So, when I did this, I apparently messed up the listings page in the Current Fanlistings section. My solution? Downloading the Simple Directory files and starting over with that section. I spent 2 hours last night and 3 and a half this afternoon re-adding all of the listings (from going into the admin panel of the old folder) and categories from the old Current section. I am exhausted.

Louis Vuitton? I think not.

Stephanie on JRi brought up an interesting topic. Apparently, there were some kids (pre-teens) at a mall near her with Louis Vuitton purses. What kind of parent buys their kid a purse that costs around $400-$1,000? Honestly, isn’t that ridiculous, even for the rich? Someone said that buying a $1,000 purse for a rich kid is like buying a $50 purse for regular folks. Okay, to me, $50 for a purse is crazy for an adult, not to mention for a child. What ever happened to going to Wal-Mart for a purse? Maybe its just because my family hasn’t ever actually had money, but I find it extremely odd that more people don’t go to Wal-mart or Target for their purchasing needs. They have lots of stuff. They even have some nice stuff. And guess what? It’s probably made in some sweat shops that are just right around the corner from the sweat shops that produce name-brand clothing and accessories.

Thank you to everyone who commented about the skins being nice. That’s really sweet.

Oh, and a few things about Gastric Bypass Surgery. It’s not the same as “bypass surgery” which usually refers to a type of heart surgery. Another thing, it will not be reversed unless I have some complications where I have to have the rest of my stomach back. Reversing it would basically be pointless, otherwise, because I wouldn’t have a physical barrier to keep me from over-eating, so I would end up gaining back a lot of weight. Also, 100 pounds is a lot to lose in 6 months, but in the first two weeks of the surgery I lost over 20 pounds. 4 pounds a week isn’t as much as 10 pounds a week. So there isn’t really a need to worry about losing “that much”.

4 new skins – Britney, Friends, Titanic, Kate Winslet

Since I start school very soon, I decided to add some new skins (in case I don’t get a chance to make new skins for a while). First is “Brave New Girl”, which features Britney Spears. The next is “I got off the plane”, which features Ross and Rachel from Friends. Finally, I added “To The Stars”, which features Jack and Rose from Titanic.

Oh, if you have a LJ, please add fpsblog. It’s this blog in syndicated form. :)

ETA – I made one more skin “Force of Nature”, which feature Kate Winslet.

Blood Work and Pressure

I had my 1 year gastric bypass surgery checkup this morning. According to the surgeon, I have 6 months left to lose 100 pounds. After that, it will be much more difficult for me to lose weight. Blah. So, I guess I need to be really careful with what I eat in the next 6 months (and beyond).

At the surgeon’s office, they had to try about 7 times before they could get my blood pressure. The automatic machines wouldn’t pick it up. It’s really faint. I’ve had trouble getting it checked before.

I have to get more blood work done in the morning. I need a Complete Metabolic Profile. A technician/nurse at my family doctor’s office tried to take my blood today, but my veins weren’t being cooperative. So hopefully tomorrow, the normal guy will be able to take it. I’ve also had trouble having my blood taken before. My veins like to roll. I’ve had heads of departments have trouble taking my blood before.

So, basically, if it was related to my blood today, then I had problems with it.
